VERY CONFUSING • and sure to be mis-scored!

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR concerning this troubling situation:

I demand a re-race! It's obvious that all riders were confused when they came to the starting gate. Apparently there were two gates to the right and one gate to the left of each rider and some didn't know which one to line up in front of. Some may have even started twice in the same moto, invalidating their results. What about the absentee racers? I sent my races in via absentee moto and my results are nowhere to be found! Did my absentee motos not get delivered?! I have taken this case to court and the judge has issued an injunction declaring the race not over with three laps still to go. If the supreme court upholds the decision everyone will have to return to the exact spot on the track they were at when the race was halted and resume the competition on Hodaka Wombats. I will be sending Bob Hannah, Jim Pomeroy and Wayne Newton to oversee the event and ensure that no one exceeds the suspension travel limits and that all kickstands have been removed. From the Executive Office of the Chairman of the Board for the Woodland Mud Dogs,
After reviewing the attached ballot I can only come to the conclusion that we must have a recount. Upon looking closer it appears that some of the riders must have been riding backwards on the track in order to come up with these results or, it is in a new cryptic format that we are not familiar with. Do you suppose that the riders secretly hid in the back and traded motorcycles during the race? Frank Campbell #95
